Ambassador of India to the State of Libya & High Commissioner of India to the Republic of Malta
Ambassador Khan is a career diplomat and has served in different capacities in the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi and India’s Missions abroad in Brunei, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Ukraine and Egypt. He was Charge de’ Affaires in Ukraine, Brunei and Saudi Arabia.
He has served at Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi as Deputy Secretary, Director and Officer on Special Duty handling matters pertaining to countries of West Asia & North Africa, Gulf and Middle East, Mediterranean Forum, Arab Maghreb Union and ASEAN Regional Forum. His assignments include the construction of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO)’s Telemetry, Tracking and Command Centre in Brunei, Construction of Indian Embassy School Project in Jeddah, evacuation of the Indian nationals from Libya in 2011. He was nominated by the Prime Minister as part of the 3-member team to assist the Indian nationals in Saudi Arabia.
Ambassador holds a post graduate degree from the University of Delhi. He speaks English, Arabic and has basic knowledge of German, Russian apart from other Indian languages.
